Power Connector Manufacturer — IEC 60320 C13, C14, C5 and C7
Connectors are the interface between the cord and the appliance. The IEC 60320 family covers most of it: C13/C14 couplers (the "kettle" pattern), C5 (Mickey Mouse) for laptop adapters and C7 (figure-8) for double-insulated equipment.
Our connectors assemble with our own cable and plugs into complete cord sets. Contact dimensions are held to the standard so insertion force stays consistent for OEM assembly lines.
Connector questions
How do I tell C13 from C5?
C13 has three rectangular contacts in a triangular layout and is used on desktop PCs, monitors and rice cookers; C5 has three small round contacts and is common on laptop power adapters.
Can I buy connectors on their own?
Yes, either loose or assembled with cable and plug as a complete cord set.
Are right-angle versions available?
Straight and 90-degree right-angle versions are both available; the right-angle type suits appliances placed close to a wall.
